Committees

2011: SEI Young Professionals Committee Member and Co-Founder As an incubator for the next generation of SEI’s leaders, the committee will encourage and facilitate younger member involvement in the Technical Activities, Business and Professional Activities, Local Activities and Codes and Standards Activities Divisions of SEI. It will also connect young ambitious academics with young ambitious practitioners to forge career long collaborative relationships.
2010:  ASCE Multiple Hazard Mitigation Committee Secretary and Co-Founder Create new multi-hazard mitigation committee under the SEI’s Dynamic Effects Technical Administrative Committee (TAC), to advance the field of multi-hazard engineering and risk mitigation for civil structures, with particular emphasis on earthquake, wind, snow, flood, wave, and tsunami hazards.
2010: Johns Hopkins University, Focus Group on Geospatial Sciences Teaching and Research Faculty Member Focus group to identify geospatial-related activities across disciplines at the Homewood campus, and inform the administration of research and teaching needs as well as propose new facilities to support and foster collaborative GIS research.
2009: EERI Policy Committee Member Help coordinate programs that enhance interaction with local, state, and federal agencies concerning earthquake policy issues.
